Kitchen remodels show up too, with new can lights, a 240 volt stove circuit and a pop-up receptacle in an island. A 30 amp RV outlet and a three-phase circuit for an air compressor round it out. This is a small operation where the owner does the work, with a crew of one to three people. That suits a homeowner adding a hot tub, pool or EV charger, or replacing an aging panel in an older house. A large commercial or industrial electrical contract is a different kind of job. So is general remodeling, since Hurst Electric handles the electrical side only and leaves framing and drywall to other trades. Repair or replace comes up most with panels. Plenty of Spokane and Spokane Valley homes still have the original service, sized for a house without a hot tub, an induction range or a car charger. Swapping a failed breaker makes sense when the panel has room and the rest of it is sound. When a new load won't fit, when breakers keep tripping, or when the panel is a brand with a poor history, replacing it, sometimes with a larger service, is usually the better spend.
