The state insures the business under a pump installation and repair class. Pride Pump also lists submersible, booster, jet, sump and hand pumps, variable speed drives, well chlorination, yield testing, inspections and decommissioning, and says it is family-owned. The state lists Troy Sorenson as a principal since 2023. This is a specialist for water systems on wells, from a dead submersible to a new control setup on a rural lot. The company advertises emergency service and temporary construction pumping, and it has done prevailing-wage subcontract work for the Kennewick Irrigation District. A whole-house panel upgrade or a sewer line is a different kind of job, better suited to a general electrician or a plumber. Before comparing quotes on well work, write down what you know about the well: its depth if you have the driller's log, the pump's age and horsepower if it's on a tag, and what's happening, whether that's no water, low pressure or the pump cycling on and off. Ask each bidder to spell out whether the price covers the pump, wire, controls, pressure tank and the electrical permit, and whether a variable speed drive is proposed or a standard control box. Two bids can look far apart only because one includes pulling the pump and the other doesn't.
