Character Hardwood Floors.

Flooring is the trade Character Hardwood Floors is registered under in Idaho, and hardwood is the focus its name declares. From Coeur d'Alene, a 25-mile reach covers the surrounding North Idaho towns on this side of the state line, including Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Dalton Gardens and Hayden Lake. The Idaho registration dates to 2018. Coeur d'Alene's housing runs from older homes near downtown and the lake, some with original wood floors under carpet or old finish, to newer subdivisions toward Hayden and Post Falls built with engineered products and site-finished oak. Each asks something different of a floor contractor. Older boards may have been sanded several times already, so it's worth asking how much wear layer is left before a refinish. Newer homes often raise questions about matching existing flooring or extending it into another room. North Idaho's dry winters and humid summer swings also move wood, so ask how long new boards will acclimate in the house before they go down.
