Crazy Clean Carpet Cleaning and Restoration.

The business holds a current contractor registration with Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. That matters for a company doing restoration work and not just cleaning, because once a job moves past surface care into pulling up and replacing flooring, it becomes construction work under state rules. Crazy Clean works on the Idaho side of the line, out of Post Falls, across the towns that sit within its travel range. Most carpet cleaning needs no permit anywhere around Coeur d'Alene. Restoration can be different. When water damage means cutting out wet subfloor, replacing drywall, or touching electrical or plumbing, the city or Kootenai County may want a permit and an inspection before the walls and floors close back up. Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene, Hayden and the county each run their own building departments, so the answer depends on the address. On a larger restoration job, ask up front whether a permit applies and expect the contractor to pull it. The permit holder answers to the inspector, and a closed-out permit is a clean record when the house sells.
