1 Long Fence.

The Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing lists 1 Long Fence as a registered contractor, with its registration issued in 2026. The business is based in Post Falls and works from there. It holds Idaho registration only, so its work stays on the Idaho side of the state line. For a homeowner in Post Falls or a nearby Kootenai County town, that makes it a local option for a fence job close to home. Housing around Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls runs from older homes near the town centers to newer subdivisions spreading out toward Rathdrum and Hayden. On older lots, an existing fence may sit on a line that doesn't match the survey, and removing old posts set in concrete is part of the job. In newer neighborhoods, homeowners' association rules often set height, style and material, so it's worth checking those before picking cedar, vinyl or metal. Whatever the material, posts here have to sit below the frost line to ride out freeze-thaw winters without heaving. Ask any fence contractor how deep posts go and how gates are braced against sag.
