Atlas Building Group LLC.

Atlas Building Group LLC holds its registration with Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, which is what a contractor needs to work on homes on this side of the state line. Based in Coeur d'Alene, the business works within a radius that reaches Post Falls, Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton Gardens and Rathdrum. It has been registered with the state since 2016. For a general contractor's work around Coeur d'Alene, most jobs beyond cosmetic updates need a building permit. That includes additions, new decks, structural changes like removing or moving a load-bearing wall, garages and outbuildings, and work that adds or relocates plumbing, electrical or mechanical systems. Whether the permit comes from the City of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden or Kootenai County depends on where the house sits, and each runs its own inspections. Expect the contractor to pull the permit, because the permit holder is the one answering to the inspector. It also leaves a record when the house is sold later. A contractor who suggests skipping the permit is handing that risk to the homeowner.
