That makes it a small, hands-on outfit doing residential site prep: clearing a lot, cutting a driveway or foundation pad, and trenching in sewer lines or septic systems. That scale fits a homeowner building on a new lot in Spokane Valley, Mead or Cheney, or someone who needs a septic system or sewer connection put in. It's less of a match for public infrastructure contracts or large commercial earthmoving, where a bigger fleet and crew are the norm. Excavation work splits cleanly by size. A small job, like digging out a failed sewer line or leveling a patch for a shed, is mostly about getting a capable operator out quickly and keeping the yard intact. A full homesite is different: clearing, grading for drainage, setting the foundation excavation and bringing in utilities all have to line up with the builder's schedule and the county's inspections. For that kind of project, ask who handles the utility trenching and septic work, and whether one contractor can carry the whole site from clearing to backfill.
