Firefly Faux LLC.

Firefly Faux carries an Idaho contractor registration issued in 2022, which covers residential and commercial work on the Idaho side of the line. The business is listed as a general contractor, with no narrower specialty on the state record, so the scope of any given job is best settled in a conversation about what you want done. Because it is based in Coeur d'Alene itself, homes in town and in the nearby Kootenai County communities sit well inside its usual range. For a homeowner in the Coeur d'Alene area, the permit question depends on the job. Structural changes, additions, new walls, and electrical, plumbing or mechanical work usually need a permit from the city or from Kootenai County, depending on where the house sits. Paint, decorative finishes and cosmetic surface work generally don't, but a project that starts cosmetic can grow into moving a wall or adding a fixture. When it does, expect the contractor to pull the permit in the business's own name and schedule the inspections. That keeps responsibility for the work with the people doing it and leaves a clean record when the house sells.
