JSM Construction LLC is a general contractor taking on residential building work in Post Falls, Idaho, on the Coeur d'Alene side of the state line. The business holds a current Idaho contractor registration through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, issued in 2026, and lists Post Falls as its service area. For a homeowner in Post Falls, that registration is the starting point for any job that touches structure, framing or the building envelope.
JSM Construction is registered in Idaho only, so its work sits on the Idaho side of the line. Post Falls is the town it names. The state record lists the business as a general contractor, the broad category that covers remodels, additions, new construction and repair work that crosses several trades. Its Idaho registration is recent, from 2026, and the page shows the full registration in its own panel.
Around Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and Rathdrum, building permits come from the city or from Kootenai County, depending on where the house sits. Additions, structural changes, new decks, garages, window or door openings cut into walls, and most remodels that move framing generally need one. Electrical, plumbing and mechanical work carry their own permits and inspections. A general contractor should pull the permits for the job and schedule the inspections, since the permit ties the work to the contractor's registration and gives the homeowner a record when the house is later sold. Before work starts, ask who is pulling the permit and which jurisdiction issues it.
Registration 3381923 is the one to check. It is JSM Construction LLC's, issued by Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses, current through July 2028. That was current on Idaho's register as of October 28, 2026, and DOPL's licence search shows it today. Ask for a current certificate of liability insurance before work starts.
