County permits pulled under the Kellcraft licence go back to 2013, when the company built a patio roof cover in Liberty Lake. Later work in Spokane covered residential plumbing, a roofing, siding and windows job, and a minor alteration. A residential alteration in Cheney followed in 2025, along with a commercial tenant improvement in Spokane Valley. The state lists Geoff Kellogg and Melissa Kellogg as principals since 2007, when the business was established, and Brian Whimpple since 2019. The crew is small, one to three people, and the owner works on the jobs. That size suits a kitchen or bath remodel where one shop handles the design, sources the cabinets and tile, and does the finish work, so selections and installation stay with the same people. Kellcraft works mostly by referral and repeat customers. It's built around renovation and finish carpentry inside existing Spokane-area homes. Large commercial builds and new-construction framing are a different kind of contractor's work. A loose cabinet door, a cracked tile or a new light fixture is a quick job, and almost any capable carpenter or handyman can do it. A full remodel is different. It brings permits, plumbing or electrical changes, ordering lead times and decisions about layout and materials that build on one another. For that, hire a registered general contractor who will pull the permit and coordinate the trades. In older Spokane and Spokane Valley houses, opening a wall often turns up something unexpected, so ask how changes to the plan and the schedule get handled before work starts.
