Messina Construction Co. LLC.

Messina Construction works on the Idaho side of the line, out of Coeur d'Alene. A 25-mile reach from there covers Post Falls, Hayden, Hayden Lake, Dalton Gardens and Rathdrum, the towns where most of the area's houses sit. The business operates under the name Messina Construction and lists general contracting as its trade. Two decades of continuous state registration puts it among the longer-standing general contractors in the Coeur d'Alene market. Hiring a general contractor in Coeur d'Alene comes down to the size of the job. A sticking door, a rotted deck board or a patch of drywall is a small fix, and a handyman or a single-trade outfit can often handle it quickly. A kitchen remodel, an addition or a basement finish is a different kind of job. It means sequencing framers, electricians, plumbers and finish carpenters, pulling permits with the city or county, and scheduling around north Idaho winters. That coordination is what a general contractor is for. Before calling, decide which kind of job you have. Then ask how the contractor handles subcontractors and inspections, and who your day-to-day contact will be.
