Oak Design and Build.

Rathdrum is the service area Oak Design and Build lists, and its Hayden base sits a short drive from there. That puts Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Dalton Gardens and Hayden Lake within the radius it travels. Its Idaho registration dates to 2024, so this is a newer name in the local trade. A homeowner weighing it against longer-standing builders should ask about recent projects of a similar size and type. Before any general contracting job starts, get the scope in writing: what's included, what's allowance, and who supplies fixtures and finishes. Ask how change orders are priced and approved, and insist they're signed before the extra work happens, not settled at the end. Cleanup matters on remodels where the family stays in the house, so ask how the site is left each day and who hauls debris. Then ask what workmanship warranty is offered, how long it runs, and who you call if something fails after the final payment. In the Rathdrum and Hayden area, also ask how the schedule handles winter, since exterior work and concrete get harder once the cold sets in.
