R & R Heating & A/C Inc.

The state insures R & R's crews under HVAC, boiler installation and service, plumbing and sewer line cleaning, and pipe laying, with a sheet metal shop class alongside. That matches a mechanical contractor that fabricates and runs its own ductwork. Recent licence-matched permits are mechanical jobs in Spokane Valley. Public agencies on the record include Community Colleges of Spokane, the City of Spokane, the City of Airway Heights and several state departments. The crew size band is 76 to 100. The company says it is locally family-owned, dating to 1985, works on Carrier and other major brands, offers 24/7 emergency service, and backs repairs with a one-year parts and labor warranty. It holds Washington lead-safe renovation firm certification and is in Avista's contractor network. The state lists Randy Hastings, Cheryl Hastings and Derek Main as principals. This is a large, busy shop suited to full system replacements, emergency no-heat calls in January, and commercial upgrades or design-build work where prevailing-wage paperwork matters. The work is mechanical: heating, cooling, ducts, boilers and water heaters. Framing, general electrical for new construction or heavy civil work belong with other trades. Spokane's housing runs from pre-war bungalows on the South Hill and in West Central to postwar ranches and newer subdivisions in the Valley and up north. Older homes often carry oversized gas furnaces, aging boilers or ductwork that was never sealed, and some still have painted surfaces where lead rules apply during ductwork changes. Newer homes tend toward tighter envelopes where heat pumps and mini-splits size differently. Ask any HVAC contractor for a load calculation, a look at the ducts, and a clear answer on whether a cold-climate heat pump or a dual-fuel setup fits the house.
