Sam's Tree & Landscape Service LLC.

The state insures the business under workers'-comp classes for tree care and pruning, landscape construction and lawn care maintenance, which matches the mix of arborist work and yard building it advertises. Public-works filings run from 2015 into 2025, for agencies including Spokane County Public Works, Spokane County Fire District 9, Spokane Public Schools, Mead and West Valley school districts, Eastern Washington University and the state Department of Transportation. Spokane Valley right-of-way and grubbing-and-clearing permits sit on the licence too. The state lists Philip Maple as a principal since 2015, and the crew falls in the 21 to 30 worker range. With a crew that size and a family-owned, locally run setup, the business suits homeowners dealing with a storm-damaged or hazardous tree that needs attention fast, as well as anyone planning a full yard redesign that pulls together hardscaping, irrigation and planting. It also takes on ongoing lawn and shrub care for residential properties. This is a tree and landscape outfit, so electrical, plumbing or building work belongs with a different trade. Before tree or landscape work starts, get the scope in writing: which trees come down, whether stumps are ground and how deep, and whether chips and wood are hauled off or left on site. Ask what cleanup looks like at the end of each day, especially on a big removal near a house or fence. For hardscape and sprinkler jobs, ask how change orders are priced if the plan shifts once digging reveals rock or old lines, and what warranty covers plantings and irrigation through a Spokane winter.
