Valley Landscape-Spokane Inc.

The business traces back to a predecessor registration in 2002, and the current corporation has been registered with Washington L&I since 2006. The state lists Jason Hiett, Carl Beach and Karen Hiett as principals since that year. Its workers'-comp classes cover landscape construction, lawn care maintenance and lot sweeping, which lines up with what it advertises: sprinkler design, installation, repairs, spring start-ups and fall blow-outs, paver sealing and cleaning, excavation, and winter snow plowing with de-icer and sand. It lists AB wall block and Techniseal paver products, and describes itself as family-owned. Most of its work comes through referrals and returning customers, and the jobs it takes are residential. It suits a homeowner who wants one outfit to design and install a full landscape, put in or maintain an irrigation system, or build a paver driveway or retaining wall, and then keep the same crew on for weekly mowing and snow removal. Commercial-scale grounds contracts, public projects, and anything structural like framing or additions belong with a different kind of contractor. Before comparing landscaping bids, write down what you actually want built: the patio or wall footprint, the paver or block style, how many irrigation zones and where they run, and where water collects in the yard now. Ask each bidder to spell out excavation and base depth under pavers, drainage behind any retaining wall, and whether sprinkler start-up and winterization are included or quoted separately. Around Spokane and Liberty Lake, freeze-thaw cycles are hard on poorly prepared bases, so matching those line items is what makes two quotes comparable.
