A quick fix, like touching up a peeling fascia board or repainting one bedroom, is mostly about getting someone in the door, and a small crew or a single painter often handles it well. A whole-house exterior in Spokane or Spokane Valley is a different project: prep, scraping, caulking and priming take up much of the effort, and the painting season is short enough that scheduling matters. On a bigger job, ask how the painter preps, what gets primed, and who handles any rotten trim found along the way, since a painting-only contractor will want a carpenter for that part.
