Interstate Electrical Contractors Inc.

The state record is the clearest picture of this business. Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing lists Interstate Electrical Contractors under electrical contractor license ELE-C-3493, and the record is current. Electrical is the only trade on file, so this is an electrician's shop rather than a general contractor that subs out the wiring. Four decades under the same Idaho license puts it among the longer-running electrical outfits on the Coeur d'Alene side of the line. Before an electrician starts, get the scope in writing: which circuits, fixtures, outlets or panel work are included, and whether the permit and inspection are part of the price. Ask who patches drywall or ceiling holes left from running new wire, since many electricians cut and leave the finish work to someone else. Find out how changes get handled if opening a wall in an older Coeur d'Alene or Hayden home turns up wiring that needs more work than planned, and ask for that in writing before it's done. Finally, ask what the warranty covers on workmanship versus the parts and fixtures, and for how long.
