Northwest Electric Inc.

Northwest Electric is an electrical contractor based in Hayden, and its work stays within roughly a 25-mile reach of town. That covers most of Kootenai County's population centers, from the lake neighborhoods north of Hayden down through Coeur d'Alene and west to Post Falls. The business has held its Idaho registration since 2006, which puts it among the longer-standing electrical outfits working this side of the line. Repair or replace is the main question with older electrical systems around Coeur d'Alene. A single dead circuit, a failing outlet or a tripping breaker is usually a repair. Replacement is worth discussing when the panel is original to an older house, when breakers trip repeatedly under normal loads, or when you're adding big draws like a heat pump, an EV charger or a shop out back. Homes near the lake and in the older parts of Coeur d'Alene often have wiring that predates today's appliance loads, so ask the electrician whether the service can carry what you plan to add before patching it. A good electrician will tell you which parts of the system are sound and which ones are the real limit.
