Pool World Inc.

The state insures Pool World under workers'-comp classes for excavation, concrete flatwork, plaster finishes, plumbing, building repair and hot tub installation, which matches the full arc of building a pool from the hole in the ground to the finished shell. The company advertises diamond brite, aggregate rock and all-tile finishes, plus commercial pool design, filtration installation and Certified Pool Operator training. Public-works filings since 2002, usually as a subcontractor, include the cities of Spokane, Spokane Valley, Colville and Airway Heights, Spokane Falls Community College, Spokane County and the Moses Lake and Harrington school districts. The state lists Mark Henderson and Lyla Henderson among its principals since 2001. This is a crew of more than fifty, so it fits a homeowner planning a custom inground pool or a facility that needs commercial-grade filtration or a therapy tub. It also suits someone with an existing pool or spa who wants water treatment, equipment repair and seasonal service from the same outfit that sold the equipment. Pool World is an aquatic builder, not a general framer, so a remodel that's mostly walls and drywall belongs with someone else. Before a pool or spa job starts, get the scope in writing: who handles excavation, who hauls spoils off the lot, and what the yard should look like when the crew leaves. Ask how change orders are priced if the dig hits rock or old fill, which happens on plenty of Spokane lots. For hot tubs, confirm who runs the electrical feed and whether it's permitted and inspected before the tub is set. Ask what the manufacturer warranty covers versus the installer's own workmanship, and who you call when a pump fails in the first winter freeze.
