Schell Pump Services.

Washington L&I registers the business as an electrical contractor with a domestic pump specialty, and the state insures its workers under a pump installation, service and repair class. The permits from 2025 and 2026 back that up: new circuits for well pumps and controls in Medical Lake, Spangle and Cheney, altered circuits in Spokane, and a Liberty Lake job that paired a new well pump circuit with a reservoir pump. The state lists Roger Schell as a principal since 2001, the year the business was established. The work is residential, and the business gets it through referrals and repeat customers rather than advertising. That suits a homeowner on a well who wants a long-tenured local specialist for a dead pump, a failing control or a new circuit out to a reservoir. For a whole-house rewire or a panel upgrade unrelated to water, a general electrician is the closer match. Before comparing quotes on well pump work, write down what you know about the system: well depth if you have the well log, the pump's age and horsepower if it's labeled, whether there's a pressure tank or reservoir, and where the controls sit. Note the symptoms, such as low pressure, short cycling or a tripping breaker. Then check that each bid says whether it covers the pump, the wiring, the controls or all three, and whether the electrical permit is included. Two quotes that look far apart are often just scoped differently.
