Backroads Construction LLC.

Hayden sits at the center of the business's working area, which puts towns like Hayden Lake, Dalton Gardens, Rathdrum, Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls within an easy drive. A general contractor's registration in Idaho covers the broad run of residential construction, from additions and remodels to repairs that touch more than one trade. Backroads Construction has held its Idaho registration since 2020. Most general contracting jobs in the Coeur d'Alene area need a building permit, whether the work falls under the City of Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls or Kootenai County for homes outside city limits. Additions, structural changes, new decks, garages, window or door openings cut into a wall, and work that moves plumbing, wiring or gas lines all usually require one, with inspections at stages like footings, framing and final. Expect your contractor to pull the permit in the business's own name and schedule the inspections. That keeps responsibility for meeting code with the people doing the work, and it gives you a clean record of the job when you sell or refinance the house.
