CDA Structures Inc.

CDA Structures holds an Idaho contractor registration and has carried it since 2007, which puts the business through several building cycles in Kootenai County. As a general contractor, it is the kind of firm that takes on a project as a whole and coordinates the trades involved, rather than a single-trade specialist. Its work is framed on the Idaho side, centered on Dalton Gardens and the towns within a short drive of it. Around Coeur d'Alene, the seasons set the calendar for general construction. Winters bring snow load and repeated freeze-thaw, which is hard on fresh concrete and on excavation, so foundations and footings are best poured once the ground has thawed and nights stay above freezing. The dry summers are good for framing, roofing and exterior work, but they also mean the busiest stretch for contractors, so homeowners planning a spring or summer build do well to talk with a general contractor during winter. Late fall is the time to get a structure dried in before the first heavy snow, and interior finish work carries through the cold months without much trouble.
