Edwards Smith Construction LLC.

Edwards Smith Construction LLC operates from Coeur d'Alene as a general contractor, the kind of firm that takes on building and remodeling work and coordinates the trades a project needs. Its travel radius covers the surrounding Kootenai County area, which puts towns like Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Dalton Gardens and Hayden Lake within range. Idaho has carried its contractor registration since 2007, so the business has worked this side of the line for a good stretch of the area's growth. Coeur d'Alene's housing runs from older homes near downtown and the lake to newer subdivisions spreading toward Hayden, Post Falls and Rathdrum. That mix matters when hiring a general contractor. An older house can hide aging wiring, plumbing or framing once walls come open, and matching original trim, siding or windows takes more planning than ordering stock materials. Newer homes are usually more predictable but often have builder-grade finishes owners want to replace. Ask any contractor how they handle surprises in older construction, which materials they'd suggest for the house you actually have, and how they plan work around North Idaho winters, when snow and freezing temperatures slow exterior jobs and concrete.
