Credentials & honors

NWR Inc. is a general contractor based in Post Falls, Idaho, registered with the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing since late 2005. The business works out of Post Falls and travels roughly 25 miles from there, a radius that takes in Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Rathdrum and the rest of the Kootenai County side of the line.

NWR Inc. operates under that same name with the state, and it holds its contractor registration in Idaho only. That keeps its work on the Idaho side: Post Falls first, then the towns within reach along the I-90 corridor and north toward Hayden and Rathdrum. Its Idaho registration has been in place for close to two decades, which is a long run for a general contractor in a market that has grown as fast as this one. Before a general contractor starts on a remodel or addition, get the scope written down room by room, including what stays, what goes and who hauls it away. Ask how cleanup is handled day to day, not just at the end, especially if you're living in the house through the work. Ask how change orders are priced and approved, and insist they're signed before the extra work begins. Find out what the contractor warrants on its own labor and for how long, and which warranties pass through from manufacturers. In older Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene houses, ask what happens if opening a wall turns up something unexpected, and how that gets decided before it's fixed.
