Skyview Construction Co.

As a general contractor, Skyview Construction takes on projects as the single point of responsibility, coordinating the work from start to finish. Its home base in Post Falls puts it close to the I-90 corridor towns on the Idaho side of the line, where much of the housing ranges from older homes near the downtowns to newer subdivisions on the prairie toward Rathdrum and Hayden. The business works in Idaho, where its registration is held. Around Coeur d'Alene, permits for a general contractor's work go through whichever jurisdiction covers the address. That might be the City of Post Falls, the City of Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Rathdrum, or Kootenai County for property outside city limits. Additions, structural changes, new decks, garages, re-roofs on some structures, and most work that touches electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems usually need a permit and inspections along the way. Expect the contractor to pull the permit in the business's name, because that ties the work to their registration and puts inspection sign-offs on the record for the house. Ask early which jurisdiction applies and when inspections fall in the schedule. A permit pulled by the homeowner on a contractor's behalf shifts responsibility in ways most people don't intend.
