Underhill Construction Inc.

The legal name on file is Underhill Construction Inc, and its Idaho registration dates to 2005, which puts the business on the state's books through nearly two decades of growth in Kootenai County. Rathdrum has gone from a small prairie town to a busy stretch of new subdivisions in that time, and a general contractor based there sits close to a lot of that housing, along with the older homes around Hayden and Coeur d'Alene. Before any general contracting job starts, get the scope written down room by room, including what is being removed, what stays and who supplies fixtures and finishes. Ask how debris is handled: whether there's a dumpster on site, where it will sit, and whether daily cleanup is part of the job or only a final sweep. Ask how change orders work, whether they're priced and signed before the extra work begins, and who on the crew can approve them. Finally, ask what workmanship warranty is offered, how long it runs, and how to reach the business if something shows up after the first North Idaho winter, when freeze and snow load tend to expose problems.
