Gaffaney Electric LLC.

The state's permit record shows the range. In Spokane there's a master bathroom remodel, an ADU addition and a generator tied to three transfer switches. In Mead, a circuit for an EV charger and a deck heater. Out in Cheney, a new pedestal service and EV charger service for a new restaurant. In Wenatchee, panels moved from single-phase to three-phase across several buildings. Gaffaney is also insured for pump installation, and a Clayton permit covers a well pump controller. Public work since 2014 includes jobs for Spokane Transit Authority, the City of Spokane, Spokane Parks and Recreation, Deer Park, Pend Oreille County Public Works, Trentwood Irrigation District and the Mary Walker and Selkirk school districts, mostly as prime contractor. With a crew in the 51 to 75 range and a project manager and estimator on staff, Gaffaney is built for planned, larger work: whole-house wiring on new construction, remodels that add circuits and panels, multi-family and commercial EV charging, and generator installs with transfer switches. The state lists James Gaffaney, Jim Gaffaney and Jason Cramer as principals since 2013, and Jennifer Gaffaney since 2016. A small one-off repair needing someone at the door the same afternoon is a different kind of job than this shop's usual. Weather drives a lot of electrical decisions around here. Winter windstorms and ice knock power out in the county and up north, and a house on a well loses water along with the lights, so standby generators and well pump controls are worth sorting out in summer or early fall, before demand spikes. Outdoor work like pedestal services, trenching for detached garages and EV chargers goes easiest before the ground freezes. Dry summers suit new construction rough-in on schedule, while panel upgrades for heat pumps or added heating loads are best done ahead of the first cold snap.
